Welcome to my personal site 🤠! For my projects page on GitHub, go here.
I am currently a 2025/26 CT Governor’s Fellow, focused on identifying and implementing AI applications for the State of Connecticut.
I recently graduated with my MBA from Yale University, gratefully supported by a Dean’s Scholarship. I came to Yale from IBM (first NYC, then Austin, TX), where I worked on enterprise AI solutions, helping global clients leverage data science and machine learning with IBM Watson and IBM Hybrid Cloud. Before that, I worked on a deep learning-based anomaly detection system at Deloitte in London.
In addition to my MBA, my background combines technical training (MSc in Social Data Science from Oxford, where I researched ML/NLP applications in healthcare) with broad analytical foundations (BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with Statistics minor from Rice University).
Here you’ll find my resume, links to my (mostly old) published writing, some of my travel photography, and a few social links (below). I’m always interested to hear new ideas and to offer help where I can. Feel free to contact me on LinkedIn, or for work-related inquiries shoot me an email at alex.amari @ ct.gov. Looking forward to hearing from you!
